VMworld 2010 – Looking for a Sponsor!

Two huge events, two continents. vmworld 2010 hosted by VMware will be unmissable for all virtualization geeks out there. These are the kind of events that gives you unparalleled access to educational opportunities that will show you how to reduce IT complexity, and enable IT as a service through virtualization and cloud computing.

  • Stage more than 18,000 lab seats,
  • Conduct up to 400 simultaneous lab sessions,
  • Produced over 20 self-paced lab topics,
  • Over 100 VMware Specialists on hand,
  • No need to pre-register lab seats.

That looks great but unfortunately I can’t make it! I won’t be able to attend any of the two events unless…unless I find sponsors! So here is my message in a bottle to you my dear readers:

Virtualization geek,VMware aficionado, desperately seeking sponsors to attend vmworld 2010, either San Francisco or Copenhagen, or both! I’m based in the European capital, that is BrusselsBelgium. I’m closer to Bella Center but I have no problem travelling to San Francisco! I look forward meeting great people from VMware/EMC, the vendors demoing their products, also the Community and the Blogosphere in general.

Maybe it would have been a better request if you could state:
    – what is in it for the sponsors?
    – what you will get out of it and how your readers will benefit?

Another option is trying to find a job where these kind of trips are expected instead of restricted!

      Hi Duncan,

The benefits for the sponsor is something IMO to be discussed outside this blog between me and the sponsors. Also I want to keep my integrity regardless how ‘generous’ would the sponsors be and that’s not negotiable.

Regarding the second question, as a blogger it is naturally that I would blog about it, especially if I live this event from the inside 😉

About restrictions, yes I guess if I was an employee working for EMC/VMware or for one of the Diamond/Platinum sponsors it would be easier to get a free seat but as a freelance attending any of the two events is a huge investment hence my call for sponsors!

And since I can’t wait things to happen, I have to work them out, knock at doors, make contacts, and this blog is one of many ways to achieve one of my goals, that is, attend vmworld 2010!

I hope we could meet up again at any of the two events! You but also meet up with the rest of the members of this small virtualization World 🙂

      Cheers,

  3. Didier,

Intalio would be happy to sponsor you.

Please feel free to contact me for more details.
