Project Onyx

Carter Shanklin, Product Manager of Automating the World, just published a video of his work. Have you ever wanted to automate your tasks by recording your mouse, keyboard and click activities!?

I’m not a script guru, just a script kiddy, re-using others scripts to manage my VMware environments.  Althought I can tailor scripts to my needs, there are smart and talentuous script gurus out there such Alan Renouf aka ‘The French’ which is not at all by the way :D, who creates them for all of us.  Check out Alan’s work and download his PowerPack suite.

Anyway, let’s talk about Onyx. That’s a kind of OMG piece of application and Carter just published his team work as a public beta. Imagine you can create scripts based on your mouse&click activities. We are entering a new world, where scripting is not anymore a tedious job but easy as 1, 2, 3.  Welcome to this world!
