Parallels Server 4 Bare Metal Launches… So What?

So what? What’s new under the sun of Renton? Well nothing actually 😦
Is this a better hypervizor? no benchmarks out yet.
Is this hypervizor has enterprise features such resource scheduling, live VM migration, clustered FS ? not really, sort of… partial implementation or simply not at all…
Is there a free version we can play with? nope, Parallels doesn’t do that according their FAQs… What a laugh 🙂
Is there anything that will let you switch to this BM hypervizor? If you are an existing Parallels customer you may be interested in…

Personally I think it’s a bit too late to enter the Bare Metal hypervizor war! Parallels should concentrate on Virtuozzo and the desktop products period!
